This study aims to describe the directive speech act of public officials in handling COVID-19 by involving context that occurs community. The used a qualitative research design. Data collection uses documentation and recording methods. data analysis technique interactive model Miles Huberman. results showed from total 56 utterances, it was found use "ask" utterances amounted 2 or 4%; "invite" 12 21%, "force" 3 5%, "suggest" 10 18%, utterance "insist" 4%, "order" 5 9%, "demand" "Plead" "give cues" 9 16%.
